Ericsson Repurchases 2.85 Million Shares in Weekly Buyback Push
Ericsson moved to tighten its capital structure between August 31 and September 4, 2026, pulling 2.85 million Class B shares off the open market. Executed via Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE on Nasdaq Stockholm, the transactions totaled roughly 275.9 million SEK as the company advances its multi-billion crown buyback program.

The five-day acquisition phase saw daily volumes peak at 750,000 shares on the first two days of the month, with the weighted average price per share fluctuating between 96.40 SEK and 97.44 SEK. These purchases are part of a broader 15 billion SEK mandate authorized earlier this year, which remains active through March 31, 2027.
Following these latest transactions, Ericsson now holds 105,668,676 treasury shares. The company’s board intends to propose the cancellation of these repurchased units at the 2027 Annual General Meeting, excluding those specifically earmarked for employee incentive programs. The entire operation complies with European market abuse regulations, ensuring the buybacks maintain the required regulatory standards for transparency and price stability.
