Truecaller adds post-call shortcuts for deliveries and banking

Stockholm-based Truecaller is shifting the utility of business calls from simple voice exchange to instant action. The company’s new Post-Call Actions feature replaces the traditional "we will send you a link" ending with a branded, in-app interface that lets users resolve tasks like delivery rescheduling or bill payments in one tap.

The tool activates the moment a verified business call concludes, presenting a branded action card directly within the Truecaller interface. By keeping the interaction within the app, the company aims to eliminate the friction of juggling SMS links, app downloads, or long wait times on hold. For last-mile delivery services, this means customers can share location data, authorize a safe drop, or confirm availability without needing to speak to another agent.

In the financial sector, the stakes involve more than just convenience. As impersonation scams reach record levels, the feature offers a security layer: these action cards only appear for calls verified by Truecaller. This allows users to complete KYC requirements, pay dues, or confirm transactions with the assurance that the prompt is legitimate. Priyam Bose, Global Head of GTM for Truecaller for Business, noted that the update transforms the phone call from a source of "homework" for the customer into a resolved transaction, regardless of whether the initial call was fully completed or missed.
