Retired Air Force General Jason Hawk Joins CoAspire Leadership
Brigadier General (Ret.) Jason L. Hawk has been appointed Executive Vice President at CoAspire, a Virginia-based defense firm specializing in affordable cruise missiles. Hawk brings nearly thirty years of military experience, including a recent Pentagon role overseeing $200 billion in research and procurement investment cycles.
Before retiring in August 2025, Hawk served as the Deputy Director for Capability Development within Air Force Futures. His Pentagon tenure involved shaping requirements for high-stakes modernization programs, including the B-21 Raider, Collaborative Combat Aircraft, and the Next Generation Air Dominance project. His strategic oversight spanned artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and command and control integration.
CoAspire CEO Doug Denneny noted that Hawk’s background aligns with the company’s trajectory in transitioning defense concepts into operational hardware. Prior to his Pentagon duties, Hawk managed readiness and mobilization for the Air National Guard, overseeing a force of 107,000 personnel and an annual budget of approximately $11 billion. A veteran aviator with over 1,700 flight hours in platforms ranging from the AH-64 Apache to the F-16 Fighting Falcon, Hawk aims to accelerate the delivery of fieldable technology to warfighters as he joins the company’s executive team.
