David Protein Enters Ready-to-Drink Market With New Milkshake Line

Thirty grams of protein packed into a single twelve-ounce bottle marks David Protein’s latest shift from bars to beverages. The New York-based brand is rolling out its vanilla and chocolate milkshakes today, aiming to bridge the gap between high-performance nutrition and the texture of a traditional dessert drink.

Utilizing ultrafiltered milk, the new line contains between 140 and 150 calories per serving while keeping sugar content below one gram. The release follows a broader expansion strategy for the company, which recently entered the frozen dessert category in June with a high-protein pint offering. These additions complement the brand’s existing lineup of Gold and Bronze protein bars, which have served as the company’s primary retail staples until now.

To drive the rollout, the brand is launching a "Drink David" marketing campaign featuring supermodel Stella Maxwell. The promotional imagery highlights the product's distinctive gold packaging and will appear across digital platforms and out-of-home displays throughout New York City. Consumers can purchase the milkshakes starting September 8 through the company’s website or at select local retailers in the city.
