Proceeds generated from the sale of the semipostal will be directed to the National Institute on Drug Abuse to bolster research efforts and public awareness campaigns. Key officials, including USPS vice president Peter Pastre and NIH director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, are slated to attend the unveiling at the Masur Auditorium. Because the event takes place on the NIH campus, the Postal Service requires all attendees to register in advance through their official website to clear security protocols. Collectors and the public can purchase the stamps online, by phone, or at local post office locations following the October release.
