ARK MFG Acquires Therma-Tek to Expand Commercial Kitchen Portfolio
Miami-based manufacturer ARK MFG has acquired Therma-Tek Commercial Cooking Solutions, marking a strategic pivot into the high-end hot side of professional kitchen equipment. The deal integrates Therma-Tek’s American-made appliance line into ARK MFG's existing portfolio, which previously focused primarily on industrial-grade refrigeration systems.
CEO Gian Carlo Alonso confirmed that the company plans to consolidate operations by relocating Therma-Tek production to ARK MFG’s global headquarters. This transition involves a comprehensive facility overhaul intended to modernize output while maintaining the brand's reputation among professional chefs. Alonso described the acquisition as a long-term investment in domestic manufacturing capabilities, crediting previous owners Don and Rebeca Pittsley for establishing the brand's foundational engineering standards. By bringing Therma-Tek under its corporate umbrella, the holding company aims to leverage its existing distribution network to scale the reach of Therma-Tek’s durable cooking units, bridging the gap between refrigeration and heavy-duty culinary hardware.
