Dr. Angie Paccione Named Pinnacle Professional of the Year
The Inner Circle has recognized Dr. Angie Paccione as a Pinnacle Professional of the Year, honoring her extensive career in transformational leadership and education advocacy. Currently serving as Chief Impact Officer at Verus Global, Paccione is celebrated for her efforts in organizational alignment and global human potential development.

Paccione’s professional trajectory spans corporate strategy, public policy, and academic leadership. At Verus Global, she develops large-scale leadership programs for Fortune 300 companies, focusing on culture transformation and executive coaching. Her approach bridges the gap between organizational performance and individual growth, influencing thousands of leaders across international markets.
Her influence extends deeply into Colorado’s public sector. From 2019 to 2026, she served as Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Higher Education, where she pioneered legislation providing free college access for foster youth and homeless students. Her legislative history includes serving as a Colorado State Representative from 2003 to 2007, where she became the first African American woman to lead the Democratic majority caucus in the state House. She also holds the distinction of being the first African American candidate to appear on a ballot for the U.S. Congress in Colorado.
Beyond her policy work, Paccione has consistently challenged systemic barriers. She was the first woman to coach boys' varsity basketball in Colorado and maintains an active role in organizations like the Colorado Women's Education Foundation. Her contributions were further validated in 2026 when the 9News & Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation named her Colorado Leader of the Year in the Public Sector. Holding degrees from Stanford University and Colorado State University, Paccione continues to focus on integrating purpose-driven performance into global corporate cultures.
