DAZN Overhauls Executive Suite to Sustain Profitable Momentum
Following a pivotal year that saw the company reach its first-ever profitability, sports streaming giant DAZN has announced a major reshuffle of its C-suite. CEO Shay Segev is installing three veteran leaders to oversee the platform’s next phase of global expansion and integration across its growing portfolio of services.

Patrick Delany, the former CEO of Foxtel Group, steps into the newly defined role of Chief Operating Officer. Based in London, Delany will manage the company’s day-to-day trading performance, including rights renewals, content production, and advertising strategy. His appointment follows his recent work integrating Foxtel into DAZN’s Australian division. Alex Gersh, a finance veteran known for guiding Sportradar through its NASDAQ listing and serving as CFO at Paddy Power Betfair, joins as the new Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Darren Waterman, who moves into the newly created position of Chief Business Officer. In this role, Waterman will focus on global partnerships and corporate transactions, leveraging his tenure as CFO during the company’s 2025 transition to profitability.
The leadership shift coincides with a broader organizational change in the DACH region. Alice Mascia, who led the region for four years, is stepping down at the end of the year. Felix Krause will return to the company immediately as Deputy CEO of DACH, with a full transition to the regional CEO role scheduled for January 1, 2027. These moves arrive as DAZN pushes to scale its regional sports business in the U.S. and integrates recent acquisitions, including ViewLift and EverPass, to bolster its cloud-based streaming infrastructure.
