Robin van Persie Joins ENGWE as Brand Ambassador for Car-Free Day
Dutch football legend Robin van Persie has partnered with e-bike manufacturer ENGWE, positioning his reputation for reliability alongside the brand’s push for sustainable urban mobility. The collaboration, branded as "GOOD AS G.O.A.T," launches ahead of European Car-Free Day to encourage a shift away from traditional short-distance car travel.

The partnership emphasizes the transition from professional athletics to daily life, with Van Persie promoting the ENGWE L20 3.0 Series. The former striker, known for his time at Arsenal and Manchester United, cites the importance of trusting one's equipment as a primary motivator for joining the brand. The L20 3.0 Pro, which recently earned an iF DESIGN AWARD 2026, serves as the centerpiece of this campaign, highlighting features like torque-sensing assistance and full suspension.
ENGWE is leveraging this momentum to roll out its "Car-Free, Carefree" initiative, running from September 16 to October 8, which offers consumers savings of up to €685. Van Persie is scheduled to make his first public appearance for the brand on September 19 at the SOE Spain event. With a footprint encompassing over 400 retail partners and 450 service centers across Europe, the company aims to solidify its market presence by framing e-bikes as a dependable alternative to cars for everyday errands.
