Aspen Snowmass Marks 80th Anniversary with 1946-Era Ticket Prices
For a brief window this December, skiers can secure lift tickets for $3.75, matching the original 1946 price that launched the resort eight decades ago. This throwback promotion anchors a four-day celebration of Aspen Snowmass’ history, blending nostalgic programming with deep discounts across its four iconic Colorado mountains.

The anniversary festivities kick off on December 12, 2026, with tickets priced at $80 for the weekend, culminating in the $3.75 rate on December 14—the official date of the resort's founding. To manage mountain capacity and preserve the guest experience, officials are strictly limiting the number of discounted passes available. Beyond lift access, visitors can expect $19.46 dining specials and premium equipment rentals at Four Mountain Sports for the same price point.
Aspen One is extending the celebration to its hospitality portfolio as well. Guests staying at The Little Nell or the Limelight hotels in Aspen and Snowmass can access significant lodging discounts by using a dedicated anniversary code. These events coincide with the 75th anniversary of Wintersköl, creating a convergence of regional milestones. While the kickoff weekend highlights the resort's origins, Aspen Snowmass plans to continue its commemorative programming and limited-edition apparel releases throughout the remainder of the 2026/27 winter season.
