Spa Medicca Acquires Dr. Nicholas E. Sherock & Associates
Canton-based Spa Medicca has expanded its footprint in Ohio by acquiring the women's health practice Dr. Nicholas E. Sherock & Associates. The move integrates the Massillon and Orrville-based clinic into a growing platform that provides hormone replacement therapy, gynecologic care, and aesthetic services alongside traditional medical offerings.
The partnership aims to combine the existing clinical reputation of Dr. Sherock’s practice with the administrative and financial backing of Spa Medicca. According to Spa Medicca President Nicole Giacomelli, the transition is designed to preserve the continuity of patient care while providing the practice with long-term stability and modern resources. Dr. Sherock & Associates will maintain its core focus on women’s wellness, including minimally invasive surgery and hormone optimization.
Lexy Smith, practice manager at the Sherock clinic, noted that the change offers the team a foundation for future growth in the community. Seven Hills Capital acted as the financial partner for the transaction, continuing its role in supporting Spa Medicca’s regional expansion strategy. The acquisition underscores a broader trend of private equity involvement in specialized healthcare practices looking to scale their operations while retaining local provider relationships.
