Apple rolls out iOS 27 with Siri AI and Liquid Glass UI
Apple has begun the global rollout of iOS 27, headlined by a long-awaited AI overhaul for Siri. The update arrives alongside synchronized refreshes for iPadOS, watchOS, and visionOS, marking a significant shift in how users interact with their devices across the company’s entire hardware ecosystem.

Siri AI launches today as a beta for English-language devices, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish slated for October. Beyond the assistant, iOS 27 introduces the Liquid Glass opacity slider, offering users granular control over UI transparency. The update also refreshes icons across native apps, expands widget sizes, and decouples volume settings for ringtones, alarms, and system notifications.
Hardware improvements vary by platform. iPadOS 27 boosts file transfer speeds to external drives and optimizes network switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. For Apple Vision Pro users, visionOS 27 adds eye-tracked notification previews and transforms personal panoramas into immersive environments. Meanwhile, watchOS 27 focuses on utility with new Workout Buddy features, gesture controls, and an enhanced Find My application.
The software is compatible with iPhone 11 and second-generation iPhone SE models or newer. Wearable updates are restricted to the Apple Watch SE 3, Series 9, and Ultra 2 or later iterations.
