Seal LIFAIO Reverses CAPTCHA Logic to Authenticate Humans

In an era where synthetic voices and fake credentials render traditional verification obsolete, Montreal-based Technologies Marco Prive has launched Seal LIFAIO. The service uses a dynamic, 60-second rotating code system to prove a user's identity, effectively flipping the standard CAPTCHA model from human-to-machine to human-to-human verification.

The system operates on the principle that static badges and digital images are easily cloned. By contrast, Seal LIFAIO displays a moving visual band on a worker's device that refreshes every minute, rendering static screenshots useless. Founder Marco Prive notes that as AI agents proliferate, this live authentication provides the only remaining bridge of trust for in-person service calls or remote sensitive operations. For high-stakes tasks like wire transfers, the protocol demands synchronized codes from two to five verified employees simultaneously, creating a barrier that cloned voices cannot bypass.

Privacy remains central to the architecture, as the service stores no personal data, biometrics, or GPS coordinates. Contact information serves only to generate an irreversible fingerprint before being purged, ensuring there is no database for attackers to breach. The technology also extends to ticketing, where it prevents unauthorized resale by requiring joint approval from producers and venues, all while operating without the need for constant network connectivity or software installation. Currently available in 18 languages, the system is supported by nine pending UK patent applications.
