The appointment comes as NewCore attempts to modernize identity management for an era where autonomous agents operate alongside human employees. Chik, who led the Identity and Network Access Business at Microsoft until April 2026, brings extensive experience in scaling security infrastructure for global enterprises. According to CEO Zohar Alon, her expertise will guide the company’s strategy in governing agentic identities as these systems gain greater autonomy within corporate networks.

NewCore emerged from stealth in June 2026 with $66 million in backing from investors including Cyberstarts, Index Ventures, and Evolution Equity Partners. Founded by cybersecurity veterans, the company aims to move beyond legacy identity provider models by implementing defense-grade engineering designed to mitigate modern attack vectors. For Chik, the move represents a commitment to shaping the security foundations of the next generation of enterprise operations.
