XOVR ETF Outperforms Growth Benchmarks Following SpaceX IPO

The ERShares Private-Public Crossover ETF (XOVR) delivered a 5.64% cumulative return between the June 12 SpaceX IPO and September 4, 2026, outpacing major growth indices. This performance highlights the fund’s strategy of maintaining exposure to high-growth companies as they bridge the gap from private markets to public trading.

Since its August 2024 relaunch, XOVR has posted a cumulative NAV return of 40.42%. This result surpasses the Russell 1000 Growth Index, which returned 38.18%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which grew by 33.72% over the same period. The fund’s strategy leverages a proprietary "VC Lens" to identify and hold companies through their transition into public markets, as demonstrated by its continued position in SpaceX.

ERShares executives noted that the post-IPO period contributed an estimated 0.90% to the fund’s NAV performance, bolstered by $15.5 million in redemption fees collected from short-term and institutional activity. These fees provided a performance tailwind for long-term shareholders. Beyond SpaceX, the firm recently deployed $30 million into the private company Kalshi, signaling an ongoing commitment to blending venture-style selection with the accessibility of a publicly traded ETF. While the fund offers retail investors a unique entry point into private equity, ERShares maintains that such exposure carries inherent risks, including valuation uncertainty and liquidity constraints tied to the underlying special purpose vehicles used to hold private assets.
