Binance Opens Capital Connect Marketplace to Wealthy Individual Investors

The shift marks a transition for the Abu Dhabi-based service, which previously restricted participation to institutional accounts. By extending access to individual users who meet specific financial thresholds—such as maintaining $1 million in assets on or off the platform—Binance aims to bridge the gap between retail sophistication and professional fund management. The marketplace currently hosts 212 portfolios from 77 trading teams, a significant jump from the 106 portfolios available just four months ago.

Catherine Chen, Head of Binance VIP and Institutional, noted that the integration responds to a growing demand for diversified, data-led investment vehicles. By embedding strategy discovery, allocation, and custody within a single ecosystem, the exchange removes the need for fragmented reporting and third-party administrators common in traditional finance. Investors can now compare performance, risk metrics, and commercial terms across eight strategy types, including market-neutral, directional, and RWA-linked approaches, before committing capital. While Binance facilitates the connection and provides the underlying Portfolio Accounts technology, the exchange emphasizes that all investment decisions remain independent, requiring users to conduct their own due diligence.
