EQT Divests AI-Focused Cybersecurity Provider Ontinue to Quorum Cyber

Since its carve-out from Open Systems in 2023, Ontinue has scaled its operations to serve over 250 enterprise and institutional clients across Europe and the United States. Under EQT’s stewardship, the company consolidated its technology stack into the proprietary ION platform, which utilizes agentic AI to automate threat detection and response. The firm also executed three strategic acquisitions to bolster its capabilities in data science and security services.

Christian Küpper, a director at EQT Private Equity, noted that the company nearly doubled in size since 2022 by refining its financial profile and market strategy. The move to Quorum Cyber positions Ontinue to leverage a broader platform for its next phase of development, building on the foundation established during its tenure as a standalone business.
