Reach Systems Scales Manufacturing After 108% Surge in Bookings

Vancouver-based Reach Systems is more than doubling its physical footprint in Nanaimo as year-to-date bookings climb to $2.2 million. The marine technology firm reports a 108% increase compared to the same period last year, driven by rising demand for specialized subsea equipment and underwater acoustic sensing solutions.

The subsidiary of NameSilo Technologies will expand its operating space from 3,559 square feet to 8,031 square feet starting October 1. This move provides the manufacturing and testing capacity required to fulfill an growing order pipeline. Since NameSilo acquired the business in February 2026, the workforce has expanded by 41%, growing from 17 to 24 employees.

Reach is gaining traction with its hydrophone-array systems, recently delivering a winch system valued at approximately US$105,000 to a European client. The company also supplied equipment to Sensor Technology Ltd. for use in the REPMUS maritime exercise in Portugal. CEO Paul Andreola noted that these deployments provide real-world validation for the firm’s engineering team. While the company anticipates further orders from the United States and Europe, management cautions that these remain subject to typical market variables.
