Alzamend Neuro has officially regained compliance with Nasdaq listing standards, clearing a hurdle that threatened its presence on the exchange. The Atlanta-based biopharmaceutical firm reported stockholders' equity of $5.8 million as of July 31, successfully surpassing the exchange's minimum $2.5 million requirement to remain a publicly traded entity.

The Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Staff issued a notification on September 14 confirming the resolution of the matter. This update follows a period of uncertainty that began in March, when the company was flagged for failing to meet market value and equity listing rules. After submitting a recovery plan that granted the firm a September 16 deadline, Alzamend utilized its latest quarterly filing to demonstrate the necessary financial stability.

CEO Stephan Jackman signaled a shift in focus back to the company's core clinical pipeline. With the regulatory pressure lifted, the firm is prioritizing the advancement of AL001, its lead drug candidate for Alzheimer’s, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and PTSD. The company is currently moving through a series of Phase II clinical trials in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital, building on data gathered from earlier cohorts.
