Eirion Therapeutics Unveils ET-02 Hair Growth Results in Spain
After just 28 days of treatment, a novel topical candidate for androgenetic alopecia has outperformed clinical benchmarks set by minoxidil. Eirion Therapeutics will present these first-in-human trial findings at the Third BCN Hair Meeting in Sitges, Spain, signaling a potential shift in how hair loss is managed.
The company’s CEO, Dr. Jon Edelson, is scheduled to detail the performance of ET-02 during poster sessions on September 18 and 19. According to the data, the product’s efficacy after one month mirrors or exceeds results typically observed after four months of topical minoxidil or six months of oral treatment. These early markers serve as the foundation for the firm's next development milestone.
Eirion Therapeutics plans to transition the candidate into a six-month Phase 2 clinical trial, with enrollment expected to begin in 2027. Based in Woburn, Massachusetts, the biopharmaceutical firm focuses on aesthetic dermatology, maintaining a pipeline that also explores treatments for hair greying, wrinkles, and primary axillary hyperhidrosis.
