Wix President Nir Zohar Named in Securities Class Action Lawsuit
Investors who purchased Wix.com Ltd. securities between February 19, 2025, and May 12, 2026, are now scrutinizing the role of company President Nir Zohar. A securities class action lawsuit alleges that leadership misled the market regarding the competitiveness of its AI product suite, contributing to a sharp decline in share value.
The litigation centers on claims that Wix overstated the performance and commercial viability of its AI-powered offerings while simultaneously understating the rising costs associated with development and marketing. According to the complaint filed by Levi & Korsinsky, LLP, these misrepresentations occurred during a period when the company faced significant product execution gaps and intensifying competitive pressure. Nir Zohar, as a co-founder and president, is accused of having authority over these public disclosures, which plaintiffs argue artificially bolstered investor confidence.
The financial impact on shareholders has been substantial. Wix shares dropped from a closing price of $181.74 on May 20, 2025, to $55.32 by May 13, 2026. The lawsuit highlights a series of disclosures regarding the Wix Harmony platform and internal development costs that triggered multiple stock price declines throughout the class period. Managing partner Joseph E. Levi noted that the inclusion of individual officers in such actions often highlights the discrepancy between internal product realities and public-facing market statements. Investors who sustained losses have until September 22, 2026, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the action, which also names other key executives including Avishai Abrahami and Lior Shemesh.
