Kapwork Launches Free BEAD Tracker and Invoice Certification Tool
Los Altos-based startup Kapwork is rolling out a free platform designed to help small contractors navigate the $42.45 billion BEAD broadband expansion. The suite combines federal project tracking with an AI-driven invoice certification system, aiming to solve long-standing cash flow bottlenecks for businesses building out national infrastructure.

The platform centralizes data from over 80 federal agencies, giving fiber crews and electrical contractors a way to identify active projects and potential partners. Its centerpiece, the BEAD tracker, currently monitors $11.46 billion in announced awards, allowing firms to identify prime contractors before committing resources. Future updates will expand the tool to include data center fit-out stages and a database of over 50 million federal contract actions.
Beyond market intelligence, the suite addresses the capital constraints inherent in infrastructure work. Contractors frequently face gaps between upfront material costs and delayed invoice payments. Kapwork’s AI agents verify invoices directly through debtor portals, mitigating fraud risks and transforming pending receivables into certifiable assets. This verification process enables businesses to secure faster funding from banks and private credit providers. According to CEO Mauricio Vergara, the goal is to stabilize cash flow for the specialized firms essential to the country's AI and broadband buildout. Backed by investors including Marcelo Maziero—who previously helped triple credit supply for SMEs in Brazil—the platform is now open to any U.S. business looking to scale.
