The system processes complex biomedical inquiries by reasoning over biological mechanisms and synthesizing data from peer-reviewed literature and proprietary sources, specifically the Bio Graph and Pipeline Graph. Every output provides traceable references, ensuring that researchers can verify the evidence behind AI-generated conclusions.

This deployment expands a partnership initiated at Microsoft Build 2026, where the two companies first combined Causaly’s interpretation capabilities with the Microsoft Discovery platform. According to Yiannis Kiachopoulos, CEO of Causaly, the move shifts scientific reasoning into the primary interface used by biopharma departments, from R&D to commercial functions. Microsoft’s Chantrelle Neilsen noted that the integration highlights the shift toward domain-specific agents that remain grounded in verified scientific data rather than relying solely on general-purpose models.
