Spectrum Investment Advisors Expands Partnership with Kinship Farm
More than 1,000 pounds of produce moved from soil to table on September 8 as Spectrum Investment Advisors held its third annual Volunteer Day in Glendale. The firm’s team spent the day harvesting crops and managing food distribution, establishing a new operational model for future corporate community engagement.

The effort centered on Kinship’s hoop house, where staff gathered the second-largest harvest of the year. Beyond the farm work, the team contributed 107 pounds of pantry staples collected through an internal drive. Volunteers transitioned from harvesting to service, assisting shoppers and preparing a community meal that turned the day’s yield into immediate support for Milwaukee neighbors.
Kinship Community Food Center, which focuses on food accessibility, selected the firm to pilot a new corporate volunteer program. This initiative aims to encourage other businesses to engage directly with the center’s urban farming and distribution efforts. Marketing Manager Angelica Niemann noted that the firm views this hands-on work as a core component of its local responsibility. The day closed with a team reflection session, cementing a partnership that the nonprofit now intends to use as a blueprint for future corporate involvement.
