Forrester Names Recorded Future Leader in Threat Intelligence
With the highest possible scores across 12 evaluation criteria, Boston-based Recorded Future has secured a top ranking in The Forrester Wave: External Threat Intelligence Service Providers for Q3 2026. The recognition highlights the company’s specialized focus on deep web monitoring and supply chain risk management.
The analysis underscores a shift in how organizations confront digital hazards, as cyber threats, payment fraud, and third-party vulnerabilities increasingly overlap. Recorded Future’s platform utilizes its proprietary Intelligence Graph, which maps over 200 billion nodes of data to provide a unified view of adversary infrastructure for both human analysts and AI systems. By integrating these autonomous workflows, the company aims to reduce manual intervention while accelerating decision-making cycles.
Following its 2024 acquisition by Mastercard, the firm is intensifying its focus on the payment ecosystem. CEO Colin Mahony noted that the company’s market position reflects its ability to surface threats early, a capability now being expanded through closer collaboration with Mastercard and RiskRecon. This partnership allows security teams to identify exposures deeper within their extended supply chains, moving beyond traditional intelligence toward automated risk mitigation.
