Feed the Children, the global organization dedicated to eradicating childhood hunger, has expanded its leadership team by appointing Dan Aptor, Davinder Athwal, and Fred Sham to its board of directors. The trio arrives this month, tasked with bolstering the nonprofit’s digital strategy and financial oversight during a period of organizational growth.

The new directors bring specialized backgrounds meant to sharpen the nonprofit’s operational effectiveness. Dan Aptor, currently a director at Accenture, contributes expertise in marketing technology and digital transformation, drawing on a career that includes senior roles at The Walt Disney Company and NBCUniversal. Davinder Athwal, the executive vice president and CFO of Landis+Gyr, provides over 25 years of experience in global financial strategy and enterprise risk management. Rounding out the appointments, Fred Sham offers a background in artificial intelligence and innovation strategy, previously working with Fortune 500 companies to scale new business models.

Emily Callahan, president and CEO of the organization, noted that the infusion of new talent is essential for the group’s goal of strengthening community partnerships in the U.S. and abroad. Board chair Rhonda Hooper emphasized that the collective skill sets of the three new members will deepen the organization’s stewardship and capacity for long-term impact. These appointments signal a shift toward integrating high-level corporate innovation and financial discipline into the charity's mission to ensure families have consistent access to food and essential resources.
