The 2027 Forester arrives at dealerships this fall, largely mirroring the pricing strategy of the outgoing model year. While Subaru has discontinued several gas-only variants, including the Sport and Touring trims, it has bolstered the hybrid segment. The new Wilderness Hybrid joins the lineup at $40,495, offering 9.3 inches of ground clearance and an Atkinson/Miller-cycle 2.5-liter engine paired with electric motors to produce 194 combined horsepower.

Standard across all 2027 trims are Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, EyeSight Driver-Assist technology, and a minimum of 8.7 inches of ground clearance. The interior experience sees a significant tech upgrade, with a 12.3-inch full digital gauge cluster becoming standard on all hybrid models and the Wilderness trim. For those seeking traditional power, the gas-only models retain the 2.5-liter BOXER engine, delivering 180 horsepower. As Subaru shifts toward a more electrified strategy, the 2027 range aims to sustain its market position by keeping the entry-level price point accessible while offering a wider array of hybrid configurations.
