Qount Integrates Practice Management Data with AI via MCP Connector
Accounting firms can now feed internal practice management data directly into AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude. By launching a Model Context Protocol connector, Qount enables partners to move beyond static reports, allowing AI tools to analyze live data on workflows, billing, and staff performance for real-time business insights.

The integration aims to bridge the gap between fragmented firm data and the decision-making capabilities of modern AI. By utilizing the Model Context Protocol, firms can query their own operational metrics—such as client activity, capacity, and profitability—using natural language. Instead of relying on manual report generation, partners can prompt AI to identify pricing gaps, highlight overdue work, or pinpoint emerging operational risks across specific service lines.
Uday Koorella, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Qount, emphasizes that the utility of AI lies in its ability to provide context for firm economics. Beyond one-off queries, the connector supports ongoing management, allowing firms to automate recurring performance briefs or build custom tracking metrics. This functionality is now available through the Qount Intelligence tier, expanding the platform's existing suite of APIs and data lake options intended to give firms greater flexibility in how they leverage their internal information.
