Carvana PPA Tour Secures Multi-Decade Home at Arizona Athletic Grounds

Forty-one pickleball courts in Mesa are set for a major transformation as the Carvana PPA Tour and Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) ink a multi-decade deal. The agreement designates the site as the official PPA Campus, centralizing professional tournament operations, elite training programs, and expanded amateur facilities under one umbrella.

The partnership grants the PPA full control over year-round operations at the 41-court facility, which currently features four specialized medal courts and a covered Championship Stadium capable of seating 2,000 spectators. This deal formalizes the location’s role as a national hub for the sport, building on the success of existing events like the Carvana Mesa Cup and the Veolia Arizona Open.

Beyond managing daily activities, the PPA plans to fund significant capital improvements to the campus, including enhanced spectator seating and climate-controlled shade structures. These upgrades are slated to debut in early 2027. AAG CEO Mike Burke noted that the integration of the PPA’s programming expertise with the 275-acre complex aims to elevate the local and national pickleball landscape. PPA founder Connor Pardoe emphasized that the move is designed to foster long-term growth for both professional athletes and the broader amateur community, cementing the venue as a permanent fixture in the global sports ecosystem.
