Braille Works Acquired by Allyant in Strategic Accessibility Deal
Allyant, a portfolio company backed by Thompson Street Capital Partners, has acquired Braille Works, a specialized provider of accessible communications. The Tampa-based investment bank Hyde Park Capital acted as the exclusive advisor for the transaction, facilitating the merger of the two companies focused on document and digital inclusivity.

Braille Works, founded in 1994, has established a reputation for converting information into braille, large print, audio, and accessible PDF formats for clients in healthcare, finance, and government. By joining the Allyant platform, the company aims to expand its reach and service capabilities within the accessibility market. Joyce Fioritto, co-founder of Braille Works, credited the deal to the guidance provided by Hyde Park Capital, noting the alignment between the two organizations' long-term goals.
For Thompson Street Capital Partners, a St. Louis-based private equity firm managing over $4.5 billion in assets, the acquisition represents a strategic move to bolster their portfolio in the business services sector. Managing Director Craig Albrecht highlighted the potential for creating a more comprehensive suite of accessible communication tools. Legal counsel for the sale was provided by Polsinelli, with Warren Averett serving as the accounting advisor.
