Sunshine Silver Mining Joins VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF

This inclusion provides the company with broader exposure to both institutional and retail investors, likely boosting trading liquidity and passive ownership. The GDXJ index tracks small- and mid-cap companies within the global precious metals sector, positioning Sunshine Silver alongside established industry peers.

CEO Heather White described the move as a major milestone for the firm as it pivots toward its primary objective: restarting production at the Sunshine Mine by late 2028. Located in Idaho’s Silver Valley, the project holds the highest-grade primary silver resource in North America. Beyond its core silver operations, the company is actively evaluating potential value-added opportunities, including copper refining and antimony production, to leverage its extensive land position in the region.
