IWP Capital Pushes FedEx for Risk Disclosure on Abortion-Drug Shipping
With the Comstock Act’s enforcement status remaining in legal limbo, IWP Capital has publicly committed to voting for Proposal 6 at the upcoming FedEx annual meeting. The faith-based investment firm is demanding a board-level report to address the potential regulatory and reputational hazards linked to transporting abortion-inducing medications.

The proposal, co-filed by IWP Capital and the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, appears on page 104 of the FedEx 2026 proxy statement. It requests that the board analyze the risks associated with mail-order mifepristone distribution within the next year. Crucially, the measure is procedural rather than restrictive, meaning it stops short of requiring the logistics giant to inspect packages or halt the shipping of any currently legal products.
Sam Saladino, CEO of IWP Capital, argues that the company’s current silence creates a material risk for shareholders. He contends that when a criminal statute faces unsettled enforcement, the board has a fiduciary duty to demonstrate how it navigates that uncertainty. By forcing a formal report, the firm aims to compel FedEx to document its governance strategy while balancing the competing pressures from both pro-access advocacy groups and faith-based coalitions. Shareholders are set to cast their votes on the measure during the annual meeting scheduled for September 28, 2026.
