Reap Launches Managed Fraud Service to Secure Card Programs

With global card fraud losses hitting 33.41 billion dollars in 2024, financial technology firm Reap is attempting to shift the burden of risk management away from businesses. The company today unveiled Reap Sentry, a managed service designed to automate fraud detection and authorization for corporate card programs.

Reap Sentry integrates directly into the company’s existing infrastructure, removing the necessity for clients to license external monitoring tools or hire dedicated in-house specialists. The service handles the entire lifecycle of transaction risk, ranging from real-time authorization screening to the investigation of alerts and the processing of chargebacks. By leveraging data gathered from millions of cards issued over the past eight years, the platform tailors risk controls to specific business profiles, geographic footprints, and cardholder segments.

According to Harris Leow, Head of Product at Reap, the typical process of building a fraud function from scratch often consumes months of preparation and specialized resources. Sentry aims to collapse this timeline by providing a turnkey solution that adapts to emerging threats, such as merchant breaches and BIN attacks, without requiring continuous client intervention. While Reap oversees the authorization layer and technical risk mitigation, clients maintain ownership over foundational security tasks like identity verification and account access. The service is now available to new card-issuing clients and existing partners via the company's single API.
