Enercare Rebrands Furnace Maintenance as Nostalgic Comfort Days

Claymation-style visuals and holiday-inspired warmth anchor Enercare’s latest campaign, which aims to shift the consumer perception of furnace maintenance from a seasonal chore to a proactive step toward a cozy winter. The initiative, launched in late September, seeks to encourage earlier system checks before temperatures plummet across Canada.

Developed alongside the agency GALE, the "Comfort Days" campaign pivots away from the technical stress of home repair. Instead, it utilizes imagery of glowing fireplaces and knitted textures to remind homeowners of the comfort that follows a well-maintained heating system. The animation, produced by Bent Labs, serves as a psychological nudge to move maintenance tasks up on the priority list before the first cold snap arrives.

Jenny Thompson, Vice President of Marketing at Enercare, noted that the company aims to move beyond traditional reactive service calls. By reframing the maintenance timeline, the firm hopes to ensure that households are prepared well in advance. Jason McCann, Managing Director at GALE, added that the campaign focuses on the emotional payoff—a warm house and a sense of readiness—rather than the functional obligation of furnace inspections. The campaign, which debuted the week of September 14, directs customers to Enercare.ca to schedule checkups and prepare for the winter season.
