SPRIND, the German federal agency tasked with supporting high-impact innovation, led the round alongside Huma. Patrick Rose, an innovation manager at SPRIND, emphasized that the firm’s commitment stems from the potential of the company’s proprietary T Cell Activator technology. By targeting naturally presented tumor antigens, the platform aims to refine how cytotoxic T cells engage with hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. Beyond clinical trials, the funding will allow the biotech spin-out from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen to expand its internal team and accelerate preclinical development for future oncology projects.
