Vertiv Acquires King Environmental Services to Scale EMEA Cooling Operations
As AI-driven infrastructure demands increasingly precise thermal management, Vertiv Holdings Co. has moved to acquire King Environmental Services Ltd. The deal, slated to close in late 2026, grants the Ohio-based giant a strategic foothold in Europe and the Middle East for specialized fluid management and system commissioning.
The acquisition of the Ireland-based firm serves as a direct expansion of Vertiv’s thermal services, mirroring its 2025 purchase of North American provider PurgeRite. By integrating KES, Vertiv gains regional expertise in fluid-system preparation, filtration, and water treatment—processes essential for preventing corrosion and flow imbalances in liquid-cooled data centers.
Vertiv CEO Gio Albertazzi emphasized that high-density computing requires rigorous field execution to ensure infrastructure longevity. KES, which operates from hubs in Dublin and Frankfurt, provides the necessary validation for high-performance systems before they go live. The move allows Vertiv to offer a consolidated service platform across the EMEA region, addressing the critical need for clean, balanced cooling loops in environments where heat density continues to rise.
