EIMA Launches Digital Gallery to Simplify EIFS Specification

The EIFS Project Gallery catalogs installations across 38 states and provinces, covering construction projects completed between 2018 and today. By offering filters for building type, manufacturer, and geographic proximity, the tool addresses a growing demand for real-world evidence as designers shift away from traditional cladding that now requires additional, costly insulation layers to meet the International Energy Conservation Code.

EIMA CEO Stephen T. Sears noted that the industry needed a single repository to help professionals visualize the systems in specific contexts, such as local climate zones or project budgets. The database includes work from major manufacturers like Sto Corp., Dryvit, and Sika, showcasing the material's versatility in replicating stone, brick, and wood textures. Beyond new construction, the gallery highlights the system's utility for retrofitting aging building stock, where its low weight provides a distinct advantage for envelope upgrades.
