Specialty Program Group Acquires HCM Unlocked to Boost Workforce Tech

Founded in 2018, HCM Unlocked has scaled to a workforce of over 200 employees by focusing on technology-agnostic consulting. Rather than tying clients to a single software vendor, the firm utilizes its DELTA platform to bridge gaps across disparate payroll, HR, and benefits systems. This approach allows for data validation and process automation throughout the entire lifecycle of human capital operations, from initial implementation to ongoing compliance monitoring.

For SPG, the acquisition marks a strategic push to deepen its footprint in specialized employee benefits and workforce services. Chris Treanor, President and CEO of SPG, noted that the merger addresses the growing need for a synthesis of specialized human expertise and data-driven technology. CEO John Wallace, who continues to lead the HCM Unlocked team, will maintain the firm’s current brand identity while accessing the broader resources and distribution networks available within the SPG portfolio.
