Bonebridge Launches Orthopaedic Education Initiative in Nashville
At the 2026 Orthopaedic Trauma Association Annual Meeting in Nashville, Swiss implant manufacturer Bonebridge debuted a new education platform. The program aims to refine fracture care skills through hands-on training and fully funded six-week fellowships hosted at elite Swiss trauma centers, shifting the focus back to foundational surgical principles.
The initiative, dubbed Bonebridge Education, centers on clinical decision-making rather than specific hardware. By providing online resources and in-person instruction, the company seeks to standardize high-quality patient care. Dr. Christof Gerber, founder and CEO of Bonebridge, emphasized that a surgeon’s deep understanding of fracture fundamentals remains the primary driver of successful patient outcomes.
A governing board of global experts oversees the curriculum, including Professor Mark Morrey of the Mayo Clinic. Morrey praised the program’s device-agnostic approach, noting that the instruction avoids product-specific pitches in favor of universal surgical standards. Applications for the 2027 fellowship cycle are currently open for residents and fellows via the official program website.
