Janssen’s departure marks the end of a 30-year tenure that began at a predecessor company in 1995. Since stepping into the CFO role in January 2024, she has been credited by Chairman and CEO Ezra Y. Yacob for maintaining the company's rigorous accounting standards and financial discipline. To ensure a smooth handover, Janssen will remain with EOG in an advisory capacity until her formal exit next year.

Hibbard, who joined EOG in August 2025, brings over two decades of energy sector experience to the executive team. Prior to his current role, he spent 20 years at Morgan Stanley, rising to Managing Director within the firm’s Global Energy Group. Yacob noted that Hibbard’s background in investment banking and his deep familiarity with the company’s financial structure made him the natural successor to continue EOG's focus on capital efficiency.
