Fruit Attraction 2026 Expands Global Footprint in Madrid
With 121,000 professionals expected to descend on Madrid this October, the 18th edition of Fruit Attraction confirms its status as the industry's premier global hub. The event scales to 162,000 square meters, hosting 2,500 companies aiming to bridge the gap between regional producers and international retail powerhouses.

The trade show, scheduled for October 6–8, 2026, serves as a central clearinghouse for the fresh produce value chain. Organizers IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX have confirmed a diverse roster of new participants, including Japan, Australia, and Tunisia, broadening the event's reach beyond its traditional European base. The United States and Canada return to the floor this year, specifically targeting new export channels and strategic commercial partnerships within the global market.
Internationalization remains the primary driver of the event’s growth. An International Buyers Program, supported by Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture and ICEX, will coordinate meetings for 700 purchasing decision-makers from over 50 countries. China and the United Arab Emirates are set to participate as Guest Importing Countries, signaling a shift in focus toward these high-demand markets. Beyond trade logistics, the program prioritizes technical advancement, with the Innovation Hub Awards and various forums highlighting sustainability and emerging industry trends.
