Environmental policy remains a central pillar of the critique. The JEC report warns that the transition project directs federal agencies like the FERC to favor fossil fuel expansion over renewable energy, while dismantling climate research hubs such as NOAA. By rolling back EPA enforcement and clean energy investments, the report concludes that the agenda represents a fundamental shift away from current environmental protections, concentrating executive power to facilitate these changes.
