Hoymiles brings HoyUltra 2000M storage to Europe
A fleet of 16 HoyUltra 2000M units now powers a commercial solar-plus-storage site in Hungary, marking the debut of the system during the first leg of a continent-wide roadshow. The launch signals a shift in strategy for the firm as it pivots toward project-driven integration for European industrial clients.
The Budapest event, co-organized with GNX, served as a testing ground for the new battery energy storage system (BESS). Beyond the product reveal, the roadshow gathered industry analysts from S&P Global Commodity Insights and TÜV SÜD to map the transition of energy storage from a niche technology to essential infrastructure. GNX CEO Daniel Racsek noted that the collaboration aims to merge technical hardware with localized market execution, a necessity as European developers demand higher standards for project economics and safety.
With over 2 GWh of storage capacity currently active globally, the HoyUltra 2000M platform is designed to scale across diverse commercial use cases. Hoymiles Vice President Guy Rong stated that the company is moving away from selling individual components, focusing instead on full-lifecycle solutions that address the logistical realities of deployment. Following the Hungary launch, the roadshow will move to additional European cities to establish deeper ties with local investors and developers.
