Alibaba Faces Securities Class Action Over Alleged Misleading Statements
Investors who purchased Alibaba Group Holding Limited shares between June 26, 2025, and June 24, 2026, face an October 5, 2026, deadline to join a class action lawsuit. The litigation alleges the company violated federal securities laws by concealing significant regulatory and operational risks from the market.

The complaint filed against the e-commerce giant centers on claims that public statements made during the class period were materially misleading. Specifically, the suit alleges that Alibaba failed to disclose the extent of its vulnerability to being classified as a Chinese military company under the National Defense Authorization Act. Furthermore, the company allegedly obscured risks related to its potential involvement in a distillation attack against a prominent AI platform.
The DJS Law Group is currently soliciting shareholders who suffered financial losses to participate in the litigation. While the firm is seeking candidates for lead plaintiff appointments, they note that such a role is not a prerequisite for investors to potentially recover losses. The legal action asserts violations of §§10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, alongside Rule 10b-5.
