Popeyes Launches Honey Chicken Biscuit Nationwide
Fans have long experimented with drizzling honey over Popeyes’ signature fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits on social media, prompting the chain to formalize the combination. Starting September 28, the fast-food brand is adding the Honey Chicken Biscuit to its national menu as a permanent effort to leverage its Louisiana-inspired roots.

The new menu item features the chain's standard fried chicken served on an oversized buttermilk biscuit, accompanied by two sachets of sweet honey sauce. Priced at $5, the sandwich aims to balance savory and sweet profiles in a handheld format. Matt Rubin, Chief Marketing Officer at Popeyes, noted that the product reflects the company’s focus on reimagining existing staples rather than inventing entirely new culinary concepts.
This release follows the brand's recent national campaign, which emphasized the handcrafted preparation and 50-year history of its fried chicken. The Honey Chicken Biscuit is available at participating locations, through the company’s mobile app, and via its website. While the $5 price point is the national standard, the company notes that costs may vary depending on local market participation.
