Penn’s Cave and Wildlife Park Hits Market After Century of Ownership

The massive property serves as a functioning, turnkey tourism operation. Beyond the limestone cavern, which draws water from the headwaters of Penn’s Creek, the land encompasses an active airport, an estate home, and an extensive wildlife preserve. The current owners have spent generations securing water rights and surrounding acreage to protect the site’s natural drainage and ecological integrity, ensuring the land remains a protected microcosm of native Pennsylvania species, including elk, bison, and wolves.

Russ Schleiden and Jeanne (Campbell) Schleiden, who have managed the site as a family legacy, stated that the decision to sell was made with the goal of finding a successor committed to the same level of environmental care. They emphasized that operations will continue without interruption during the transition period. Anne Lusk of Lusk & Associates Sotheby's International Realty is handling the sale of the landmark, seeking a buyer prepared to oversee both the business interests and the long-term conservation of the resource-rich landscape.
