Bank of America Expands CashPro Suite with AI-Driven Payment Analytics

Bank of America is rolling out Payments Insights, a new feature within its CashPro Data Intelligence suite designed to help corporate treasury teams parse massive payment volumes. By using AI to visualize cross-border flows and working-capital performance, the bank aims to turn raw ledger data into verifiable financial strategies.

The tool arrives as treasury departments face increasing pressure to manage complex, high-volume transactions while maintaining liquidity. According to Jennifer Sanctis, head of CashPro Personalized Technologies, the platform is built to filter out noise, allowing finance teams to focus on actionable patterns rather than static reports. The system incorporates peer benchmarking, enabling companies to measure their payment efficiency against industry standards.

Development of the capability leaned heavily on client feedback through the bank's CashPro Boards. Laura Fox, Director of Treasury for Allegis Group, noted that the platform’s value lies in its ability to highlight trends that would otherwise remain buried in spreadsheet data. This is particularly relevant given the scale of operations; CashPro facilitated 213 million payments in the first half of 2026, marking a 10% year-over-year increase.

Beyond current payment analysis, the bank plans to broaden its AI-powered offerings. Capital Markets Insights is slated for a web-based release next month, while a global expansion of Security Insights is scheduled for 2027. The latter will provide automated security scoring and risk mitigation recommendations for account administrators. These technological pushes have earned the suite significant industry attention, including the 2025 Datos Impact Award for Best Innovation in Artificial Intelligence.
