ProgenyHealth Expands Leadership with Medicaid and Operations Veterans

Melanie Bella joins the board with a legacy defined by 22 years in government healthcare programs. Currently an Executive Advisor at Cressey & Company and Chair of the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission, she previously directed the Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Her background, which includes serving as Indiana’s Medicaid Director and a stint as an executive at Cityblock Health, positions her to guide the company through complex regulatory landscapes.

Alec DiDonato steps into the role of Chief Operating Officer, tasked with refining operational strategy and driving growth. DiDonato brings over 13 years of experience in scaling healthcare services, most recently serving as COO at Author Health and holding senior leadership roles at Evolent Health. CEO Susan Torroella noted that the appointments are intended to integrate high-level policy insight with the technical execution required to expand the firm’s maternity and NICU care management programs across the country.
