RiskScout Secures New Funding to Expand Anti-Fraud Platform

A 250% surge in institutional adoption over the last year has propelled Austin-based RiskScout to close a new funding round led by LiveOak Ventures. The platform, which consolidates BSA/AML compliance and fraud prevention for community banks, will use the capital to accelerate its AI-driven automation and team expansion.

The investment round included participation from Castle Creek Launchpad, the Bankers Helping Bankers Fund, Alloy Labs, Brue2, and C3 Ventures. This financial backing follows a period of rapid scaling for the company, which tripled its revenue while expanding its client base to include institutions ranging from $100 million to over $10 billion in assets. RiskScout addresses the widening gap between sophisticated financial crime schemes and the legacy systems often used by lean compliance teams.

Built by former bank examiners and BSA officers, the platform automates labor-intensive tasks such as customer risk profiling, alert investigations, and regulatory filing preparation. By integrating these functions into a single interface, the company aims to replace disconnected tools that force institutions to manage fraud and compliance in silos. Justin Fischer, CEO of RiskScout, noted that the capital allows the firm to support an increasing number of financial institutions struggling to remain equipped against bad actors. Mike Marcantonio, partner at LiveOak Ventures, emphasized that the firm invested because the RiskScout team possesses firsthand experience in the regulatory and investigative challenges their customers face daily.
