Water Environment Federation Launches $1 Million Impact Grant Program

The capital for this initiative stems from the sale of the organization's legacy building, a property originally secured through the financial commitments of member associations and volunteer leaders. WEF President Keith Hobson described the move as a full-circle investment, returning the value created by past generations directly to the local groups that serve as the federation's backbone.

Funding is split into four distinct tiers: $450,000 for foundational organizational needs and membership growth; $350,000 for pilot projects focused on workforce development and the circular water economy; $100,000 to assist with centennial anniversary celebrations; and a $100,000 reserve for emergency operational continuity. Prospective applicants can access full guidelines and eligibility criteria starting November 1.
